Achieving a balance between supply and demand in providing tourism activities in Jeddah and meeting future quantitative and qualitative demand

  • Launching the service of granting tourist visas to citizens of 49 countries, under which the Kingdom opened its doors to tourists with the aim of diversifying the economy in the Kingdom.
  • The tourism sector lacks qualitative projects that can be opened within a short-term period (quick solutions) to support tourism economic development until the completion of major projects.
  • The government launched and began implementing many major tourism development projects, such as: Red Sea Project, Neom, Qiddiya Project, and others.

The Kingdom has paid special attention to developing the tourism sector in the Kingdom, and this was evident in the issuance of the Council of Ministers’ decision on 01/13/2014, which aims to develop and improve tourism services and stimulate tourism investment programs to keep pace with the increasing demand from local tourists, which the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) focuses on in all its activities and programs, and its various projects
