JEDDAH —With about 200 exhibitors, local and international manufacturers, architects, designers, interior decorators, hotel and hospital managers, spread out over 7,000 square meters of the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events, the 27th edition of Saudi Building & Interiors Exhibition (SBIE) opened its doors on Tuesday night.

SBIE 2018 exhibition was inaugurated by the Secretary-General of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), Hassan Bin Ibrahim Dahlan, in the presence of Hadi Al Harith, CEO of Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE), Zhang Ming, economic & commercial consul, top executives and representatives of participating companies.

During his tour around the various stands, Dahlan said: “The exhibition always is a success as it facilitated interaction between local businessmen and international exhibitors, whose specialties included building materials, home decor, and other products and goods.”

“As always, the objective of SBIE is to display the latest in technology, usage of materials and innovative approaches to interior design, decor, and furniture. SBIE serves to meet the growing demand, by bringing together all the leading companies in the industry under one roof,” Hadi Al Harith, ACE CEO added.

Around 40 reputable Chinese companies representing fields of that are specialized in building materials, decoration, solar energy, agriculture, engineering, water recycling and medical devices are participating in the four-day event to introduce their products to the Saudi market.

During his presence at the exhibition, Zhang Ming, economic & commercial consul, told Saudi Gazette that trade is at the heart of the growing links between China and Saudi Arabia, which center on the crude oil and petrochemical industries and now looking forward to the energy sector.

He said: “The trade relationship has resulted in strong ties for both economies.”

Saudi Arabia has managed to attract enormous investments and remains a preferential destination for real estate developers in the Middle-East region with more than 80 mega-projects, each worth at least $1 billion that are underway or planned for completion by 2030 in Saudi Arabia.
